365 project coming soon!

Hi readers (if you're out there),

I have bad news and good news. Bad news: I'm not that great at keeping up with blogs. Bad news: I've tried to do a year of pictures, journaling, etc. several times, and failed.

News: I'm going to try again. Good news: It's with Premier!!

My goal for 2014 is to show you 365 ways to wear Premier Designs Jewelry. I won't show the same way twice. Hopefully you'll be inspired by the pictures and ideas to create some of your own combinations!

So, coming January 1, get ready for 365 days of Premier!

Work Day

I had to go to Atlanta for work today, so that's always a fun time to dress up! It was another cold day, so I layered up and stacked some Premier on like the cherry on top.

Welcome to our kitchen!

I am wearing the Desert Rose necklace and earrings. These earrings are so light but still make a great statement. This piece is full of neutral tones but still has some purple undertones, so it went great with my little splash of purple.

I found out that wearing button-up shirts under sweaters is really uncomfortable, though. Does anyone know of a way to make it less uncomfortable?

Long Distance Friends

Today we got to see our friends William and Melanie and all their kids! They started attending our church and we got to know them last year before they had to move away to North Carolina. They came down for the weekend and we got to have lunch and catch up after church on Sunday!

Will and Melanie's story is amazing. Long story short, they didn't know the Lord, but came to church because their kids loved it. They were saved one Sunday. While I was still working at the church, Melanie came in one day to volunteer (she is a stay at home mom and wanted to use her time while the kids are at school well) and ended up telling us her story. She told us that she and Will weren't married yet but wanted to be, but couldn't afford a big wedding. My boss and I were like, "We can help you with that!" So two weeks later, they were baptized as new believers and married right there at the church. It was amazing. They were super reliable and dedicated volunteers for quite a while, but then Will got a good job offer up in North Carolina and the time was right, so they moved up there.

Anyway, at the time, I wasn't selling Premier, but my Premier mom worked at the church with me (still does), and she provided Melanie with the Laura earrings and necklace for the wedding you see her wearing today too.

Melanie probably didn't know she was going to be a model on my blog ;)

I love the Laura set because you can wear it for a wedding, with somewhat casual shirt and slacks, as Melanie is wearing, or just with jeans and a nice top.

Here we are with two of the kids (there are 6 plus one who is waiting for them in Heaven).

We LOVED seeing them again.

By the way, I am wearing the Wow Factor necklace really twisted with the pearl studs from the Cute as a Button set. And I got my hair done. Cut and colored, and I love it!

Jewelry Party!

It's time for my first Premier daughter's first party! Yay!

I decided to be super fashionable and tackle a few of the season's biggest trends all at once. Whoa.

First, the color of the year shirt (or so I hope). Second, black and white are pretty popular this Spring. I've layered the Have a Ball necklace with the Lady Fair necklace. The Doily earrings are nice and light as well, and are pretty popular so far this season. As usual, I have on the White Hot watch, and today I'm rocking some bracelets on the other hand as well (Have a Ball).

Awkward, thank you, husband.

My boots. I LOVE my boots. I wear them almost every day and for the first time, I'm actually a little sad about warmer weather and not getting to wear them. Skinny jeans and boots are still in this Spring, and I'm so happy I get to keep wearing those boots as long as it's cold enough!

Mary's party was great and her jewelry business is off to a wonderful start. If you've ever thought about earning a little extra money and getting to be glamorous about it, Premier may be for you!

Don't rain on my Parade!

Parade came out this Spring and has been a major hit so far. It's another super versatile piece with lots of color. Again, this is a black shirt night, so I must brighten up my ensemble!

The earrings on this one are pretty heavy, but it was worth it for just a couple of hours :)

Do you like my green pants? I've never done colored pants before, but I'm trying to branch out and these were on sale for only $10! Gotta love Khols.

I'm wearing the entire Parade ensemble (all 3 strands short) with a ring that belonged to my great grandmother. It's one of my few gold rings, and I haven't purchased a gold ring from Premier yet. Plus, I really like this ring. I don't know if you can tell, but it's got yellow, green, and rose gold in the shapes of grape leaves and a grape cluster. It reminds me of how Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and we can't do anything without Him.

As I told you before, I'm not a bracelet person, but I have discovered a way to wear bracelets that I'm starting to like! I'll share more soon :)

Zebra

My husband has gotten me into wearing bright colors, and he loves stripes. So he really likes the sweater I have on today. However, I was really unsure how to pair this with Premier! Needless to say, I found a way :)

I paired the Easy Living necklace with the new Zebra enhancer from the Spring line. Easy Living is one of my favorite necklaces because it's so versatile and easy to update. I always tell my ladies that if they can only get one thing, get something that can easily be updated each season with a simple enhancer. This necklace can not only be updated, but worn in so many different ways it's like having 500 necklaces! Not really, but you get the point.

If you haven't been able to tell, I'm not much of a bracelet person, but I really like this bracelet. This one is also called Zebra. It is made up of flat panels and is stretchy. The stretchy part is an obvious reason to love it, but I love it for its flatness as well. When I'm typing, it doesn't get in the way! I love that!

Here is a closer shot of how I wore Easy Living with Zebra. This necklace is really amazing and you'll probably see me wearing it A LOT more as this blog progresses.

Cute as a Button

Today was a working errands kind of day, so I wasn't super glamorous. I just took a couple quick pictures of my small arm party and earrings.

The Cute as a Button earrings are another really versatile piece in the new Spring line. They come with pearl studs and sparkly studs that can be worn alone or with the black frame. I am wearing neither today, but instead have used some old silver studs I've had forever. Another reason I love Premier - it goes well with things you already have!

Color of the Year

If you haven't heard, this year's color of the year is emerald. I'm not a fashionista and I don't know the difference between emerald, forest green, or regular dark green, so I'm just hoping that this shirt I found on clearance at Old Navy is close enough.

I'm wearing the White Hot Watch, Naomi ring, and Chiffon necklace and earrings. I LOVE this necklace! You can wear it with just about anything and it's a perfect statement necklace. I got lots of compliments on it at the bridal shower I went to on Saturday.

This necklace looks great with the earrings that are supposed to go with it, but it would also look good with lots of other earrings. I've worn it with diamond studs before and it looks good. I'm sure I'll wear it again soon with other earrings :)

Anyway, how do you plan to wear the color of the year? I'm going to try to get creative with it and wear it as many ways as possible. I love it with grey (and I love this skirt, made out of jersey knit material), and I'm sure it will look great with jeans too!

Wow Factor all day

Today I got to wear the Wow Factor necklace with two totally different looks! It was a pretty normal Saturday with errands and such, then we had a birthday dinner with some friends at Provino's (yum!).

For errands and hanging out around the house, I wore Wow Factor with pearl studs and a V-neck sweater and jeans.

For our dinner out, I opened up one strand for the longer look and wore a grey sweater dress.

Since I don't have the bracelet or earrings yet, I wore the pearl stretch bracelet from the Poetic collection and the two black stretch bracelets from the Have a Ball collection.

I love this look with my red pea coat!

We had a yummy dinner and a great time with our friends celebrating a birthday AND an upcoming wedding!

Leopard!

Animal print is still in! I love it because you can wear it with black or brown. It always makes me happy when things are versatile.

Premier introduced a set called Zoology this spring, and it combines lots of different animal prints and textures.

I volunteer at our church service Thursday nights and we have to wear black shirts, so expect a lot of black shirt combos!

This is Herbie, who we adopted last January. He is large, but he's still pure puppy. (By the way, I'm wearing capris with my boots. Great way to make those capris last all year!)

The Zoology necklace is a long necklace or short, depending on how you wear it. It has a removable strand, so it's extremely versatile! There are stretch bracelets you can also purchase as part of this line. I am wearing a De la Creme ribbon with one strand, and the other strand as a bracelet. Oh, yeah, versatile. I am wearing the Jet earrings as well. You can wear this necklace as one short strand by itself, but since I have a long expanse of plain black shirt, I wanted it to hang a little longer.

This sweater was given to me by a friend. I'm not sure if it was designed to be short or if it shrunk, but I have to wear it with something under it. I think the leopard shirt under it is fun and ties nicely with the necklace.

What's your favorite way to wear animal print?

Coral

How many other people fell in love with the coral color last spring?

And how many are thrilled it's in this spring too?

I LOVE coral! The only problem is that I could never find a cute coral top! I finally found some great nail polish, then I realized Premier has pieces with Coral in them ... duh.

I wore this for our first evening Bible study at our house.

The earrings are called Cabana and were a birthday gift from Brent, and the necklace is called Tangerine, and was a birthday gift from me. The necklace is a long strand that I've doubled. The earrings were a little on the heavy side for me, but since we only had company for a few hours, I didn't have to wear them too long.

We are doing the Love and Respect book study in our group. If you've never read that book before and are married, I highly suggest it. It's so true and practical. We are so excited to study this book with a group and see what God does in our marriages!

Teal & Brown

This dress is the first thing I've ever seen on a mannequin in a store's window and bought. It's so cute and I love wearing it! It's a great spring color and fabric - light jersey material that's so comfortable.

I was torn between wearing the Organic necklace and bracelet and the Wow Factor necklace. My husband got me Wow Factor for my birthday and I hadn't worn it yet, so I went with it instead.

I'm wearing the necklace with pearl stud earrings (Premier has some, but mine came from my dad) and the White Hot watch. I love the Wow Factor necklace because it is so versatile. You can wear it without a twist, really twisted, or just a little bit twisted like I have it on. You can also choose one chain and wear it long by putting that chain over your head and letting the rest hang down. You can also add a pin, like Golden Girl for a more sparkly look.

Wow Factor has matching earrings and bracelet, but I don't have those yet.

Jewelry Party!

I'm going to my first jewelry party with my new spring jewelry. I just LOVE the new line.

Unfortunately, I don't actually get to wear any of it to the show since I'll be using all of it for demos. But it's okay, the ladies love modeling it, and sometimes it's more fun to watch someone else wearing my jewelry than to wear it myself :)

Yellow and grey came out as a popular combination last spring, but I still love it. I am wearing a yellow dolman top with a grey undershirt, the White Hot watch, the Naomi ring, and the Runway necklace and earrings. I love this necklace, and the earrings are light enough for me to wear all day. This is a great necklace for plain shirts and to help you look long and lean. Long necklace and scarves are two of the best ways to look taller and longer.

By the way, a lot of men love this necklace. It's my husband's favorite. He calls it the tire necklace, because the thinks the little circles look like tires. Weird.

Anyway, this is one of my favorite necklaces because it's so easy to wear. You don't have to worry about matching any colors and it looks great on just about anything.

We had a great show and my hostess got almost $500 in free jewelry! I couldn't believe it! I think she had a hard time picking all of her jewelry, but her wardrobe is set for spring.

Valentine's Day

We usually don't do much for Valentine's Day because my birthday just happened. This year, it fell on a Thursday and I had church, so I left a gift box for Brent.

Lots of fun things for a guy spending an evening waiting for his wife to come home!

He made me this:

So creative :)

Valentine's Day is a great time to ask your man for some jewelry! I always encourage the ladies at my shows to tell their men what jewelry they like for gift ideas. I'm even making a card now for them to fill out so I can contact their guys for a few last minute gift ideas.

It's my Birthday

Birthday time!

Over dinner with my husband a couple of weeks ago, I told him I was excited about turning 25 so I could start renting cars. He laughed at me and told me I'm turning 24. I had to pull out my calculator, and sure enough, I'm turning 24.

I feel like I got a whole year of my life back!

Anyway, Brent took me to a VEEEERRRY nice dinner at Ray's on the River in Atlanta. If you haven't been there, make reservations way ahead of time and try to sit by the window so you can see the river. It looked like it was beautiful outside, and they had a walking trail by the river, but since it's February and freezing, we just admired it from our table.

Here we are :) I got this dress from H&M this past summer, but never got to wear anywhere. I have on a retired piece by Premier I bought for half price before joining. I'm also wearing the Jet earrings and the Jules ring, but they are somewhat difficult to see. I love pairing bright colors with black jewelry, especially in winter. My mom laughs at me for seasonalizing my jewelry, but it's just as valid a part of your wardrobe as anything else!

Brent ate a steak and it was delicious, and I had a whole bunch of seafood. Scallops, shrimp, lobster tail, crab cakes, and salmon. Yum!! Our waiter was fabulous and we even got to do valet parking! It was wonderful.

Congratulations Mary!

Hello, and welcome to my blog! This is my first post, and also the outfit I wore for the training show of my first Premier daughter, Mary!

I met Mary at her sister's Premier party. Mary was interested in doing something more glamorous than her house-cleaning business, and what could be more glamorous than jewelry? After Christmas, she called me to say she wanted to join the family.

I am wearing my husband's old t-shirt that I refashioned into a dress, brown leggings, and a brown long sleeve shirt. I have on the White Hot watch (almost always) and the amazing Francesca necklace from Premier's spring line. The necklace does have matching earrings, but my ears don't do dangling earrings very well, so I just wore a pair of diamond studs, which match the sparkles in one of the silver circles on the necklace.

This necklace is really cool. It has silver and antique-looking brassy gold. Two-toned jewelry is really popular this spring, and I couldn't be happier. We don't have to choose which color to wear, we just get to wear both! Yay!

Anyway, the necklace has a long chain for the back and clasps onto one of the circles. You can also shorten it by looping the chain through the circle and clasping it back onto itself, as I have done here.
