Sugar Rush 2

So far, the other jewelry ladies have found 37 ways to wear Sugar Rush. Talk about getting some bang for your buck! I'm not up to 37 yet, but I'll keep you posted as I learn new ways :)

I'm wearing the three pastel bead strands long and the pretty stone strand short. All the same other pieces as yesterday - Starlet, It's a Wrap, Naomi.

Beginning of the Unofficial Week of Sugar Rush/my Mary Kay makeover!

This post has a lot of things. This is the color of the year cardigan!

Marsala!

I'm wearing the new Sugar Rush necklace and Sorbet earrings, along with the silver Starlet and It's a Wrap bracelets and Naomi ring. This is a great necklace that does it all and is a great way to add some pastel to your wardrobe for the spring.

Also, my hostess today is a friend who sells Mary Kay, and she did my makeup! Isn't it amazing? I wish she could do my makeup everyday.

Comfy Friday

While it's nice to dress up and feel really polished most days, it's also nice to dress down and be comfy! This is my go-to weekend look when I want to wear something other than sweatpants :)

I'm wearing the Proverbs necklace, silver Starlet bracelet, and Naomi ring (and diamond studs - not Premier). What's your favorite comfy outfit?

Forcing it

I've been eagerly anticipating the end of football season (since my team's bowl game is already won and there isn't an SEC team in the championship) so I could wear this dress! I found this gem at Goodwill with the original tags still on it! It happens to be from one of my new favorite stores at the mall, but I never actually buy anything there because it's usually too expensive. I also wanted to wait far enough away from October so the black and orange wouldn't look too Halloween-ish.

Do you love it? I wasn't sure about the black and brown combination at first, but really loved it by the end of the day. How do you wear black and brown together?

Jewelry: Botanical necklace, frills earrings, can't get enough bracelets, Naomi ring.

Jubliee!

If you're shopping for Christmas and want something that will go with everything for the fashionista on your list, this is the necklace! It goes with everything and can be worn in a lot of ways.

This is just one way to wear this necklace. I paired it with the Color Wheel bracelet and Naomi ring.

Mint and Cobalt/busted can of biscuits

Do you ever have one of those days where you just feel like a busted can of biscuits? Today was one of those days for me. I don't know why, I guess it's just part of being female.

I've learned a few tricks for combating these kinds of days, and I'll share a few here.

First of all, IT'S OKAY. It happens to everyone.

Water with lemon and cucumber. And lime if you're feeling exotic. This always flushes me out and helps things just feel better. Plus, it tastes good!

Solid colors, especially dark. Darker colors are slimming. Bright colors aren't.

Vertical stripes help us look taller and thinner, so are always a good choice.

Remember that while you don't like the way your body feels in the moment, it's still the special body God created just for you! So while you may be thinking ugh, I hate my body!, it is His temple and He made it special just for you! And He does care about how you're feeling, so feel free to tell him something like, God, I feel like a busted can of biscuits today, but I thank you anyway for blessing me with a body that works and for having enough food that I can wake up feeling fat. I've learned that even if I do feel that I hate my body, I never say it to myself. I tell myself things I'd tell a friend, like, "It's ok. You're bloated, not fat. It will go away. You have a great body." And if I don't believe it, I keep saying it until I do!

Always works for me ;)

Anyway ... one other trick for today is long necklaces! They draw the eye up and down and extend the illusion of being tall and thin. Plus, sometimes jewelry can just be that little special thing that gives you the confidence boost you need!

My work buddies said (halfway through the day) that at first, they thought the cobalt and mint didn't match at all, but it slowly grew on them, and they were loving it! I had the same thoughts as I got dressed this morning.

I'm wearing the True Blue necklace, Gateway bracelet, and Naomi ring.

What are some things that help you through a busted-can-of-biscuits kind of day?

Day after a Georgia Win

We've had a cold front move in! It was THIRTY-SEVEN when I let the dogs out this morning. I guess we had our fall season last week. But it's supposed to get into the high seventies later this week. Such crazy weather!

I love Georgia so much I like to wear team colors the day before, the day of, and the day after the game. Sometimes, if it's a really good win, I'll just keep wearing red and black until I run out of red and black combinations. And I'm creative, so that takes awhile.

Here is today's day-after combination:

Like my nails? :) I'm wearing the silver It's a Wrap and Starlet bracelets, the Can't get Enough bracelets, Naomi ring, and the fun Silver Swirl earrings.

Are you a big enough fan of any team that you wear their colors endlessly? Or just me?

What got me into Premier?

A question I get asked a lot is what got me into Premier. It's really simple. There was a girl I worked with who just always looked perfect and so put-together. I asked her what her secret was and she said "accessorizing with Premier!" She gave me a catalog. I immediately fell in love with the Botanical necklace. At the time, I couldn't imagine spending $30 on a necklace, so I hosted a party. I got that necklace and two others free.

After the party, my husband sat down with the catalog and me to help me spend my hostess benefits and he asked how much my friend made. I thought about the orders my guests had made, divided by two (Premier consultants earn 50% of retail!!), and told him. His jaw dropped and he said, "She made that for that?" I nodded and he said, "You could do that." So for our first anniversary, I signed up and have loved it ever since!

Anyway, this is the necklace:

Can you tell I'm exhausted? It's been a long week at work!

I'm also wearing the Botanical earrings and Gateway bracelet...

And, of course, the Naomi ring.

You could wear this jewelry combination with just about any clothing combination (like a red top instead of pink since it's a Friday before gameday!) since it's neutral. But it's beautiful!

So do you think something as simple as a necklace could help you start your own business?

Dressing up a T-shirt

Some days, t-shirts are all I really feeling like making an effort for. I got this tribal looking shirt a few years ago at Target and love that it matches just about anything.

I'm wearing the Near and Dear necklace long with the turquoise side of the Flipside enhancer.

This is my favorite - and first - Premier ring, Naomi. It's easy to wear because the top part is flat. If you're trying to get into wearing rings more often, this is a great starter. It doesn't catch on everything like the larger ones with mounted stones.

"What are you wearing, Cait from Premier?" Uhh...Khakis?
